For B.Ed. Admission Enquiry 2024-25
Ø Library Timing is 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. The library will remain closed on general and national holidays.
Ø Students must fill the Name, Class, and IN and OUT time in ‘Student Entry Register’ kept at the entrance of the Library.
Ø Staff members must fill IN and OUT time in ‘Staff Entry Register’ kept at the entrance of the Library.
Ø Students must always carry their College Identity Card with them while using the library facility. They have to show the same whenever asked by the library staff.
Ø Readers should keep their personal belongings like bags, Umbrellas etc. at the bag counter before entering the library circulation area. These materials are to be kept at the bag counter at their own risk. Library Staff is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings of the students/faculty members.
Ø Chairs and Tables should not be disturbed from their position. Use of mobile phone is prohibited in the Library. Any violation will be penalized by fine of Rs. 100/-
Ø Reserving of seats is not permitted in the reading hall of the library under any circumstance.
Ø The readers are required to maintain silence and discipline in the library. Complete silence must be observed in and around the library. Disregard of this rule will invite punishment.
Ø No discussion permitted inside the library
Ø Only one book per student for seven days will be issued only library card.
Ø Library borrower card is not transferable. The borrower is responsible for the books borrowed his/her card.
Ø All library books must be returned before October & May vacation.
Ø It is strictly forbidden to mark library books with pencil or ink or mutilate them in any way. The reader to whom the book was/ is issued last will be held responsible for loss of pages or any other damage unless he/she has brought it to the notice of the library staff before borrowing. Any student held responsible for damage of reading materials will be liable to fine equivalent to the damage caused.
Ø Previous years question papers, magazines/journals, books in the reference section will be issued in the library only against depositing of identity card.
Ø Download of any undesirable e-resources shall not be allowed and punishable if violated. The library staff may expel any student if he/she is violating the rules.
Ø Students should not leave the books on the reading table after use.
Ø The librarian may recall any book from any member at any time and the member shall return the same immediately.
Ø In case loss of books, it should be immediately reported to the Librarian with an application. The decision of appropriate fine will be decided by authorities. Will be binding on the student.
Ø The loss Library card should be reported immediately to the librarian.
Ø Library Fine
A book must be returned on or before the due date shown on the book. In case of urgent need the book will have to be returned immediately. Usually books are issued for a period of one week from the Home Lending Section. Books reserved for in-house reading are not allowed to be taken outside. In case a student fails to return a book within the time limit, a fine of Re.2 per day per book. A student may get a book reissued, if it is not in demand. A student taking books outside the reading hall without the special permission of the librarian will have to pay a fine of Rs. 10/- per day per book.
Ø To maintain smooth functioning of the Library, the Library Advisory Committee and Librarian may restrict use of facilities as necessary
Ø Important Notices and information regarding the Library will be notified on the Library Notice Board.
The smooth working of the library is possible only if students adhere to the rules and regulations of the library. The Librarian reserves the right to refer cases of breach of discipline to the Principal.
Note: Although no specific rules and regulations are formulated for the staff, all the members are advised to observe general rules and decorum.
