Foundation Day
The students and faculty of Sarada Kurup College of Education & Research observed the Foundation Day on 21st September 2022 with great enthusiasm.
As a mark of respect and to honour the founders of Tilak Education Society, we made it a point to spend qualitative time with students of Apni Shala an NGO which caters to the children of low income.
Apni Shala Foundation is located at Chembur East collaborates with government and low fee schools and works towards the social and emotional development of a child.
They deliver experiential learning program using art, drama, games and community work to help nurture social and emotional skills in children. The teachers use stories and drama and films and games as tools to engage children in experiential learning.
Therefore, in the same lines our students paired as teachers for the day. They engaged the students in interesting math games, making friendship bands, singing songs, colourful dances, conversations interactions and fun games. We made the children smile and feel special.
At the end of this lovely and satisfying day, we parted the children by distributing chocolates and gifted them different types of board games as an expression of our love for them.
